Day 9: Put Ya Blinders On aka Mind Ya Business
Yesterday, I said step boldly into your purpose to inspire you and today I giving a gentle reminder that, that also includes focus. Inspiration without preparation will leave you with frustration! It’s super easy to get distracted by what other people are or aren’t doing according to the world of you. This is a complete waste of your time! Put your blinders on and stay in your lane. What you are looking to do takes your whole being no matter what it is. To produce greatness of any kind takes greatness to be invested. That greatness my friends is the highest version of yourself that you have to offer. Your highest self needs your undivided attention and dedication. It needs you to show up and be fully present. Remember, where your mind goes your attention flows. Attention to another person’s purpose only becomes an obstacle for you. It keeps you from seeing the work that shows up for you to do.
Today, you are going to write yourself into your future.
- Grab a pen and paper
- Write down the goal you’re looking to achieve (personal and/or business)
- Break it down into workable groups. (I use 0-3 months 4-7 months and 8-12 months. Anything after 12 months goes into my part 2 of the plan section.)
- In the category of most achievable in the shortest amount of time, create a list of actions steps needed to complete that part of the goal.
- Work your action steps like your life depends on it (because it does quite frankly).
Stay focused and driven on your goals and aspirations with a clear plan to achieve them. Spend no time focused on what others are doing unless it serves as an inspiration or an opportunity to glean from their knowledge. Do not get sucked into being a Petty LaBelle! Let that energy be where it is and you rise above it.
May we all learn to live in the light of our own souls. So shall it be!
